The weather has cooled a bit here in VA, and I am able to enjoy some fresh air via open windows. I also enjoy doing some chores au naturel when I can and having the windows open makes it even more enjoyable. I did have a delivery, so had to don some shorts to answer the door. I walked around a while after answering the door with my shorts on to see if I could discern any differenceI did.
That got me to wondering what is it that makes being nude so relaxing and fun. I mean on a personal level, and on your own. There are many additional merits to social nudism relative to being at home, so I wanted to focus this essay on being nude versus wearing shorts.

There is something to being totally nude that you cannot feel when wearing any major article of clothing. I am totally nude todayno shirt, no shoes, no socks, no pants, etc. Just donning the shorts reduced the feeling of freedom. The shorts were a good fit, and I barely noticed having them on, but they still detracted from the experience. I have noticed that wearing sandals tends to take away from the experience as well. That may be why I prefer nude beaches where I can go shoeless as well. (obiter dictum; I cannot speak for women who go shirtless, and you may include such observations in any responses).
I dont have an answer as to what that special feeling is. I dont really want to label it. I just wanted to write done some random thoughts as an exercise to reflect on the experience and acknowledge what a great day it is when you can open the windows and enjoy some nude relaxation.
