Considering the distance you're traveling, look for other options close to you or extend your stay.

I would say no. $20 admission per car, 20 minute walk from parking lot to beach.
Hey all,I have always wanted to go to Gunnison, and it seems like my Wednesday schedule may afford me a couple hours to go there. My question is, is it worth going if I only have 2-3 hours?Thanks for any help you all can give!

I love Gunnison and had an awesome day there yesterday. It was a bit cloudy but met a few really nice people and had a relaxing naked day. Since you're driving so far I would say a few hours if really not worth it. If I were coming that far I'd want to stay overnight. Plus weather this Wednesday 7/24 is not looking so good. Rain and clouds. I'm lucky that I'm only 20 miles away.
