Return to DiscussionsI went to Gunnison Beach yesterday 9/25/16. The day started out overcast and coolish in
the low 60s. Water temperature, still
warm, was great. By the time I left,
trading in my birthday suit to attend a local birthday party, air temperature
was 70 degrees but most people still remained covered up. I counted less than 100 cars in the lot at 1
PM. It looks like the season is over for
most with no temperatures in the upper 70s in sight.
Pirate Bob: Yes, the
entire beach was open. It seems that the
Piping Plovers are done nesting around mid-August.
