Underpants?
Return to DiscussionsI don't even own underpants.
I've been saying that for year. However, a while back, I decided to go through all of my clothing and get rid of most of it. I have a dresser out in the garage that I thought might have something in it. To my surprise, I found a drawer full of boxers. They're gone now.
So, now I really can say, I don't even own any underpants.
Back when people only washed their outer clothing once a week (at most) and normally much less frequently, undergarments made sense for keeping the outer garments clean longer. If you're wearing a business suit that will probably not be taken to the cleaners for months, then, yes, I makes sense to wear undergarments. But if you're just wearing jeans and casual slacks that you wash after wearing once or twice, undergarments don't make any sense at all.
I have a few shorts -- I might wear them sometime. I have two shorts that I wear frequently. The others I keep along with a few pair of sweatpants because I need them when I go visit my children.
I have a few t-shirts because they'll eventually wear and and I'd rather just keep those I already have than have to buy more later. As little wear and tear as they get, they'll probably last me 20 or more years.
I have two short-sleeved button shirts. I have two business casual pants.
I have a bunch of jeans that I've set aside -- thought maybe I could sell them online. If I still have them when I move to Oregon, they'll go to the thrift store before the move.
I have a lot of athletic socks. I rarely wear them because I essentially never wear shoes. But those I have will eventually wear out and I'd rather keep those I have than have to buy more later. As seldom as I wear them, they may last me 20 or more years.

Will you take 1 or 2 pair of jeans for cool weather?

How do you keep warm in cold months like this? Are you literally nude 24 hours a day?
