Boating to Haulover?

I have only been to Haulover a few times, and I don't recall seeing pleasure boats there other than venders selling lunch ... but is it possible to take a boat to Haulover? Is it legal? Obviously, we'd need a nice calm day. If anyone has any tips, I would appreciate it.

You can not pull the boat up to the beach but boaters often anchor just outside the marker buoys. Sometimes they will paddle in with an inflatable boat or raft
