I Always Sleep Naked
join if you sleep naked
Are there any nudists who don't sleep naked?
Return to DiscussionsI understand your reasoning, but I suspect such people are far outnumbered by those who usually sleep nude, but are rarely nude otherwise.
Oh, definitely. I just was saying that people have all sorts of weird lines they draw. An art model I knew (who bragged about her nude shoots) was totally turned off by my nude activities. People are strange.

Sort of like actors who are fine being filmed completely nude but put on a robe between takes.
Yeah, that seems odd at first, but I think all of us have moments where, no matter how nudist we are, we have some hang up. For example, when I visit a nude resort or skinny dipping at someones house, I always change into my swimsuit in the bathroom. Then, I wear a towel out to the pool before I am really naked. I dont know why I do it. I can walk around the rest of the time nude with no problem. Its weird, and the friend who runs our local nude club had a laugh about it with me once.Anyway, given that, I can see why someone who is otherwise a dedicated sky clad warrior might need clothes to sleep. Sleep is so tied in with deep seated psychological stuff that it would make sense that someone might need to wear something even if it doesnt make any sense from the outside.

I was also surprised to see this group when I joined TN, assuming that all naturists slept naked (as do I, of course). I have the opposite situation - a non- naturist partner who does sleep naked! I do know of a naturist who sleeps in his briefs (he's not on this site, or I'd not risk mentioning this), but he suffers from irritable bowel syndrome (and/or Crohn's disease) so is not confident about sleeping without some protection. In general I feel this kind of thing constitutes a good and valid reason for not sleeping naked; for the rest the health benefits are many and obvious.
