Benefits of sleeping naked
Return to DiscussionsI googled this subject a little while ago and would suggest doing so for all nudists, actually everyone. There appear to be about 10 benefits that are universally agreed upon and probably more. Most of us here just prefer being naked as much as possible, but it's actually good for us too !! :-D
I think sleep is better and more restful when done in the nude.Of course, some people may have to get used to it, but once they do, they'll find they sleep better.
I agree. I came to sleeping naked late in life in my mid 30's and went down the 'Cold Turkey' route of getting used to sleeping naked. It did feel odd at first and I did have to battle to override the feelings that I should be wearing something in bed but that only lasted two or three nights once I noticed and realised how much more comfortable it was to sleep naked and that I seem to sleep better as well. I now find it difficult to sleep wearing anything - even if I have a nap it has to be naked for me to feel any benefit
I do wear gym shorts when I am sharing a room with someone beside my wife.Not ideal, but I can tolerate it.Anything above the waist or below the knee makes sleep impossible!
It's been a while since I last shared a room with someone. I made some business trips during the summer of 92. Typically five or six men. We'd spend a night or two in hotels -- two to a room. Once in the room, I'd strip next to my bed, walk to the bathroom nude, shower, dry off, and walk back to my bed nude and get into bed. We'd typically watch something before going to sleep.
On one occasion all of the other men came into the room I was staying in. I had already showered and was in bed. They knew I was nude and mildly objected. These were all older guys -- older that me. They had all showered in high school PE and all had served time in the military. I was not the first nude man they'd seen and the lower half of my body was covered. Why would they care?
Use to sleep nude in my college dorm room. My roommate did too. Our room was 83 one week and we had to be nude to stay cool until they fixed the heat. After a while we both got use to be naked in our room. Not a big deal and we both became comfortable being nude in the room.
