I Remain Nude When Guests/service P
This group is for ALL fellow nudists whom remain nude, regardless of who visits the home. Personally, I have always remained nude for every guest and visitor to my home, including neighbors, plumbers, cable and telephone techs., Fedex, UPS, food/pizza delivery, and many more. It's every nudists right to be nude when at home. Why cover up? Please feel free to share your experience.

Many U.S. states have strict nudity laws. However, it is still legal to be nude in your home. In most situations, using discretion while nude at home is always prudent. Simple nudity in ones home is legal in Iowa, as well as all 50 states.
As with most everything in life: communication is the key! When you're honest with guests and visitors, nudism will not be the issue. It will simply be an issue of acceptance and tolerance. Of course, there will be several guests whom will choose not to visit when you're nude. Surprisingly, many will not have any issue. Guests and visitors really appreciate the "heads up" when visiting a nudist home. The more you communicate your nudism, the easier it will be for you to live nude in your home!

Thank you for the ideas, Alan. We are open with our neighbors and visitors. Unfortunately, most visitors would rather have us be clothed. Also we live on a bus route so there are people who aren't neighbors that might walk by and look in. Hence the window shears.
One way that I have found to prevent any "surprises" is to be upfront with the cable company, plumber, etc. before they get here. I always mention that this is a nudist household and if the service tech has a problem with this, they should let us know before they arrive. I am always naked at home, even when service people are here, and we have never had a problem. We did have a cable guy once who asked me to put something on, which I did, but others have been incredibly cool with it. I have had a few admit that they like to go naked at home as well, and some ask lots of questions about being a nudist.
I can see how that would work for people you hire to do a certain job, but would think it would be more difficult for cable, etc, where it is part of a broader service

Would you dress if an inspector from the city or county needed to come to your house?
I wouldn't unless they asked. The sign in our driveway says we are clothing optional and has our phone number so people can call and ask us to dress. Only one person has asked in 14 years.
Have you had any construction inspectors or tax assessors come to your property?
Also Iowa here I do not care if they look in my house and see us. And I was told by local officer that if someone reports us being nude in our own home they get it for peeping in house. Now if they come to door that is different so I keep blinds pulled on doors
Tax assessors, yes. We haven't done any construction since we've been here. We have also had a sheriff's detective show up unannounced to interview my son about an incident he was involved in. Nothing was said about our sign, or the fact that I greeted the detective naked.
