I'm Naked But My Partner Isn't.
A group for people to join who enjoy being a nudist but our partner doesn't. Let's share our stories. And how the other half feels about our passion of being naturist's.
My experience with non-nudist partner.
Return to Discussions2016.
We organized a pickup from Proserpine Airport so our arrival was easy. We arrived at Seclude about 30 minutes later, and were taken up to our
villa on a golf buggy, which is the easiest way to negotiate the hills!
Our villa was Hillside one of the three villas at Seclude all of which are fully furnished and have all mod cons and cooking facilities. You can bring your own food and drinks or have them supplied daily by the effervescently friendly hosts Tony and Yvette, who are also Naturists.
Within a short time I was nude and remained that way for the entire stay as the weather was 20-28 degrees and (mostly) sunny every day. My wife, although currently a non-Naturist was accepting of this situation and fully aware of the potential of other visitors, although luckily in our case this did not occur. [lucky for her, not me].
We organized breakfast for the following morning, and after waking up and raising the blinds we were greeted with a couple of yellow variety of hummingbirds hovering outside the window. The morning sun rising over the green of the mountains was magnificent. The air was full of distant birdsong, kookaburras and other wildlife, no suburban noise at all, just tranquillity!
Breakfast is a choice of three meals and the one we had on most days was the cereal and toast option which came with cereal, four large slices of freshly-baked bread which barely fitted in the toaster, fresh fruit, yoghurt, orange juice, tea, and coffee for the percolator (or you can use the supplied Moccona coffee).
Most days there was too much, and we usually kept the yoghurt for desert with lunch or dinner! There is a variety of meal options for lunch and dinner, and even when choosing a fixed meal, you can add options within reason - for example, we added 4 eggs to our breakfast toast
one day. We cooked the eggs on toast, although we could have ordered the bacon and eggs option.
During the day, there are bush walking tracks, or you can swim in or lounge by the pool or play a few fun games of darts (I found a new hidden talent of my wife, she beat me on almost all games we played).
The showers are interesting, as there is a large window to the tropical landscape outside the villa (but still private), so its like you are showering in the rain forest! The spa is in this covered outdoor area also, and we enjoyed several of those! The first time we had a small visitor - a brown frog! On the second occasion, there was a larger green frog! Although they didnt jump in the spa, they were curious about our presence in
their domain!
The following day was our 28th wedding anniversary and I had pre-ordered an indulgence pack. There are normally rose petals as well, but as we were already there, just the champagne and chocolates! We had this with our BBQ lunch pack comprising steak, sausages, lamb chops, salad, bread rolls and some condiments which we could have cooked on the BBQ near the pool, but we chose to cook indoors and enjoy the balcony
view instead!
In the afternoon, we had another spa and then a massage - Tony can organize this also, they have two masseurs available, one for Naturists and one for textiles. [I had to laugh inside when the masseur mentioned he once had a job at a resort down the road, and everyone was naked! We had the textile one, so we had to dress between massages].
The lounge area has a large screen TV and media centre with hundreds of movies and a huge selection of music in addition to a hundred or so satellite TV channels for the regular programs that are beamed to SA, NT, QLD, NSW and VIC. There is free Wi-Fi available also, which is handy as we had no mobile phone service. There is a landline phone in the villa for calling reception for requests and for outside calls.
Night time provided a spectacular array of stars not normally seen in the city suburbs due to the ambient lighting. Surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes due to the fact there had been no recent rains. The outdoor meals were also fly-free, another bonus!
My non-Naturist wife chose to wear bikini swimwear for our bush walking. I of course only wore appropriate footwear! The trees are a variety of eucalyptus and some wild fruit trees - feral guava as Tony said because they bore no fruit. They also grow their own vegetables and other fruit, so some of your food supply is REALLY fresh!
Although being a non-Naturist, my wife did partake of some nude and topless times on our balcony but wasnt really crazy about it! But at least she did try in the private environment that Seclude offered! She still thinks Naturists are a bit crazy and Id love to get some feedback on what others think about that!
The outdoor entertaining area near the pool has a well stocked minibar to which you can help yourself. It has a variety of local, interstate and imported beers as well as a selection of wines and champagnes, in addition to bottled water.
For the enthusiastic travellers there are mountain bikes that can be borrowed or you can walk. Its about 3 km to Cedar Creek Falls. This is only a few minutes down the road but is a public area so you have to dress. It is an excellent place to take one of Tony and Yvettes picnic hampers in a supplied cooler bag which has an assortment of meats, cheeses, biscuits, bread rolls and mineral water, all prepacked in plastic containers.
The last few days of our one week stay consisted of more of the above, along with a boating day trip to Hamilton Island and Whitehaven Beach, starting from Airlie Beach.
On the last day we booked a one hour scenic flight for the famous Heart Reef, which also took in aerial views of several of the Whitsunday Island group and the Great Barrier Reef, before flying back to Melbourne in the afternoon.
Overall, the experience was great, the weather was perfect, the hosts were terrific, and I highly recommend anyone to go there at least once although some of the guests in the guest book coming from interstate and even overseas have been back 2, 3 or even 4 times! Almost all said their stay was too short!
I score Seclude 12 out of 10 for service, friendliness and facilities! If you want to relax with a loved one for a honeymoon or anniversary (as we did), this is ideal.
Many have their honeymoon here! This is not the place if you want a party around the pool, unless you bring two more couples with you - it is a retreat after all!
In one word: MAGIC!
Tell them Gary from Geelong recommended it!
