Indiana Nudists
A place for nudists from the hoosier state to connect.
First timer researching resorts.
Return to DiscussionsHi,
I am interested in going to a resort for the first time. I live in southern Indiana, I'm married but she is not interested in going yet and I am most interested in meeting people, hiking, camping and swimming. It looks like single men are at a bit of a disadvantage going alone so I'm looking for a welcoming resort. If anyone could give me some advice on Drake Ridge and Fern Hills that would be great. I could also use some advice about going to a resort for the first time as I know I will be nervous.
Regards!

I live in Central Indiana so cannot help with Drake Ridge. It looks to be a wilderness which is of interest to me, but it is just too far away to just spend a day and that is what I enjoy doing.
When I first started doing social nudity, I tried to go to Fern valley. Being single they wouldn't talk to me. Actually they were rude to me.
The first resort that would allow me to visit was Paradise Gardens, off I 74 just as you cross the Indiana/Ohio state line into Cincinnati. I loved being nude there but the people were not that friendly. Paradise Gardens did let me visit being single. You just need to email before going.
The next resort I went to was Sunshower Country Club off of I-70 in Centerville , before you get to Richmond, In. I loved this resort. Very friendly and lots of acreage to wonder around in. Sunshower allows singles, but again, email before going.
The next Resort that I went to was Camp Buckwood, which is also Four Seasons Lodge. It is located in Brown County just north of Little Nashville, In. It is an all male resort. They do not care if you are married, single, gay or str8. They all any male to visit. It is owned by a gay couple and on weekends it is a bustling place, from what I hear. I only go during the week, when there are only about a dozen people there. I go for the nature and being able to be naked in nature. The price is reasonable. It is close to where I live so it is perfect for me. Website Campbuckwood.com
That is about as much as I can share about the resorts and places to be nude around the area. As for etiquette and questions about being socially nude, feel free to message me. I will answer anything that I have experience with.

Fern Hills was a fantastic visit for us. Super welcoming and friendly place. I would call ahead to the office and check on their single male policy if your wife is not going. Drakes is a very small rustic place but single males are welcome.
Ziffler and Rocdad,
Thank you very much for your input. I'm thinking I will try Drakes Ridge Fourth of July weekend. I'm not interested in a social event or a shunning. I like the idea of low crowds and lots of nature.
Thank you again. Your comments really helped me. If my wife becomes interested, I think we would try Fern Hills based on Your comments.
My Grandparents had a great deal of rolling woods and hill property in southern Indiana along with 30+ grand kids. We all grew up hiking creek beds, hills through endless woods. Drakes reminded me exactly of that if your into exploring. I did do that at Drakes, wish I could now but my knees say no.
