Intellectual Nudism is for those that want to talk more than just share photos, although photos are a great thing. I have been a proponent of Social Nudism for at least two decades. I think we need activism for opening beaches and public land to what is natural and normal. We have actually allowed our crazy American Culture to overrun what was once natural and normal. For millennia, people across the world bathed nude socially. You went down by the old swimming hole, stripped off and got in the water. There in front of the whole town, county, whatever. Then about 1850 or so, during the Victorian Era, the idea of swimsuits to delineate who was ranked higher socially got going. It still took decades to catch hold.
Why did we stray so far away? Can we get back to normal again? Do you realize that men competed nude in swimming sports including water polo up until the 1970s?

I like the idea of this group, about those who like to talk more than just share photos. Photos are a great thing but I find myself wishing for something deeper. And same goes for nudism. I hope to find meaning in these interactions.
The naked men in water sports and water activities shared here is amazing. Amazing to be able to experience it as a man with other men - and with clothed women. Amazing that women were not allowed this "privilege" if I may call it.
I think new leaders were introducing new ideas, fixing problems, building new things, relationships, which in the process caused damage to existing ... culture ... or norms. This repeated with the next leader and the next one where the focus and damage crisscrossed in more and more areas and here we are today.
Normal is likely something different now compared to then. It's like a mask or a slogan or clothes. What's underneath are unseen and may not be what you think or want.
