INUDE 2015 - Nudist's Day Of India
This group aims to discuss the activities for 1st March, which is the nudist's day of India.
Uncertainty to certainty: unfortunately towards negative
Return to DiscussionsWe waited for some time to sort things out
and tried to turn every stone unturned but time is also passing by, days of
boarding the trains or flights approaching and ultimately after looking over
every unseen hideouts we had to come out with this decision.
We need to inform everybody as per
intimation received from the sponsorer S.... P...... lately that due to some
administrative and security issues, the proposed seminar INUDES 2015 has to be
called off for the time being.
No alternate venue with all the
requirements could be arranged in spite of best efforts from all quarters. We
feel the responsibility to at least reimburse the cancellation charges of the
booked tickets of trains or flights.
Those who were already approved and
confirmed are requested to send me the scanned copy of the cancellation voucher
with bank account details like holder's name, bank, branch and IFSC code etc. so
that I can send it to them.
Those who think that as the dates and
tickets are already booked, some kind of paid trip somewhere around the
destination would be at least somewhat refreshing, it needs to be mentioned
that those dates are holidays and bulk booking anywhere is impossible now.
However, big cities have plenty of hotels
and quite a few of them could be in near vicinities. We need to know who are
open to such ideas in booking their own hotel rooms on their own in different
hotels in localized places as far as practicable at least for one or two days
and have some kinds of socializing, as per our passion as far as practicable,
and also hold some discussions as per our interest, purpose and also on future
strengthening of the movement. Let us see if enough of us are open to that idea
so that that can be made effective. Then we can try to roll it out from 3rd
morning to 4th afternoon. Booking of rooms, fooding and lodging
charges and any other liabilities will be everyones' own responsibility in such
case obviously.
Sad day for all of us......... Thanks Sona Da for your offer of refunds.... No need of it.... You tried your best to make this meet possible but conditions was not friendly....... Better luck best time....If any alternative meet take place please inform both of us................

It was really nice of Sonachand to offer payment of cancellation fees- but we must remember that this was a group event and in case any one has to be repaid the cancellation charges, the responsibility should be shared by all willing members of the group. After the cancellation of the event for the second time in succession( not counting the one the event had to be cancelled because the number of participants were too few), we should learn not to depend on any one individual for all logistics and infrastructural support while organizing a meet on this scale- that would be like putting all the eggs in one basket.I have another suggestion- let us learn from this experience and not go in for too many freebies- in the end most of the " free lunches" turn out to be a hoax.
Though I was not a participant for the great meet a I am not in India, the cancellation of the event has made me sad. I understand that Sonachand had taken lots of efforts to make the meet a great success. Unfortunately for all of us, that did not bear fruits.
I have a suggestion on all such meets in future. We should not depend on anything free, whether accommodation or food. Though it was very kind of the friend who had offered free accommodation and food during the meet, I feel we should not have accepted such a request. Instead we should have settled foe a small discount of 10 or 15%. The owners of the resort is in the market to do business and we should always help them in their endeavor.
An event like this is a great thing in the lives of any nudist in India. Therefore I do not think anybody would have been unhappy if everyone has to pay for every facility.
I don't want any one to repay for my cancellation charges...as rightly said by members above...it was a joint responsibility and as we were eager to share the gain...we will share the loss as well. That's true partnership.
Just to respond to what smamman says - you are perfectly right. Many of the members disliked the "full sponsorship" and it was decided that people wold pay towards food cost, offer contribution towards tent cost etc.
As somebody said - disappointment is not the word to correctly express our feeling. I don't have a single word but try to explain my feeling. It's like I suddenly get a miscarriage...my unborn child...whom I was carrying for months...dreaming around it...suddenly it's gone. Nothing to be done except accepting the fact.
But, let's not lose hope and faith. We will definitely be able to do a meet in some other format. We might have to compromise with 24X7 nudity.
My take is - Let's learn from this:
1. Not to depend on one person for supporting or sponsoring2. Not to choose a time when weather is not conducive3. Not to select a time like Easter week when tourism spirit is high and it's difficult to get alternate space4. If we want an outdoor, in India, we need to select weekdays.5. Someone has to visit the place prior to confirmation to check all facts.6. It's easier to organise meet for only couples or only men, mixing these two make things more complex. (In India, as yet now)7. Anything might change at last moment, so be ready for that.
I have a strong feeling that we will have a meet in 2015. Let's all make this strong INTENT.
