Return to DiscussionsWell I finished the new hot tub install today, filled it up and threw the switch. Yep no run, got power to the controls, lights, heat signal and blower but the jet pump won't run. Dealer tried to talk me through some trouble shooting but no go so service call is ordered. Hope they can get here before the freezing starts or I'll be draining it all back out.
Do you have an air switch or a conductive touch switch? If you have the touch switch, try emptying the tub, add some bath salts and then refilling. We have a well, and there are not enough electrolytes in the water to allow the senors to conduct a closure.

Thanks for the tips, we are on a well also and had not considered mineral content could affect conductivity enough to cause a problem.
it's a digital spa pac. Discovered a bad pump and low flow pressure will show a fault code and prevent a start. Quick trip yesterday to the spa shop for a new pump and she's all good. I did the new pump install last night as we are going below freezing overnight and was worried on the pipes freezing with no circulation. Checked this morning and it's up to 102 so just need to get the new water dialed in and good to go.
