Return to DiscussionsFor my last holiday, in France, I flew both ways in my kilt. It was worn in the traditional way without underwear. There were no problems except for the wind at Nimes airport. It blew my kilt way up. On the return flight I heard a mother telling her child that this was the man who wore a kilt on the outbound flight.
I may well wear it for other flights. It has the advantage that I can easily unwrap it when getting naked after getting into the hire car at the airport. I did make some modifications for airport security, removing the sporran with its chain.
I have some nudist friends in Hawaii who wear their pareau on interisland flights but switch to pants for overseas flights. I have never done it myself. But one time I had 3 center seats to myself on an overnight flight back to the mainland and I got nude under my blanket for a couple hours of napping. That was very nice.
I'm flying to Rhodes (Greece) on Thursday and will be wearing my kilt again. I have a set of mini-kilts for when I'm going out into town. And the main kilt will be on again for the return journey. Indeed I'm not taking any pants or shorts with me and definitely no underwear.
