Return to DiscussionsI'm a firm believer that locker rooms need to remain nude friendly. So I make sure that I shower naked in the open showers and I get changed without covering myself. That way others can see that nudity is normal in the locker room.
I'm just wondering if it might be Giving the wrong impression that I'm cruising. I don't think I'm excessive with nudity, but any tips on how to prevent others from getting the wrong idea?
Dont use a gym anymore, but when I did for a daily swim for over a decade I shared your belief.
To avoid being seen as cruising I just kept my eyes off others, unless they spoke to me. Regular users got to know I was one of the ones who would use the open shower (until a remodel closed it in), dry off there, and who would walk back to the lockers naked. Only once did anyone say anything about it, and he never said anything the numerous times after that when he saw me naked.
Only once did I delay getting naked thinking it was too much. A regular who would frequently chat with me about his studies, but who had no sense of personal space/ was a bit intense, sat down next to where I was standing, shirt off, about to drop trousers and don the speedo. He had seen me naked plenty of times, but I didnt think he needed to see me naked quite that close.

I did the same plus shaved nude. Didn't worry about what others might think.
At the gym I attend in the states, the lockers are in direct line of sight to whoever walks in. I change at the locker, getting totally nude, and also when I go into the sauna I put on a pair of short shorts that are almost transparent. The sauna rules say no nudity in sauna. Figure that out and let me know.
But when I exit the sauna, I go back to my locker and get shower articles and go shower. Showers are individual and benches outside shower area to change. But after I shower, I walk nude back to the locker and dress. Ive even gone to the sink area, also apart from lockers, nude to check hair, making sure it wasnt wild. lol. So Im nude for quite the time in the locker room and no, Im not cruising. I give my body time to air out before I put clothes on. If someone doesnt like it, not my problem. Its a mens locker room!

Do you ever shave your face while nude?
Whenever i use the locker rooms at the gym, i strip off and walk around naked, going to the toilet or showers, it always amazes me how some guys always cover up and go into a corner to get changed, i dont think you can ever be naked too much

I workout at a YMCA gym. The crowd definitely skews older, but depending on the time of day there can be many young people. When I get to the locker room, I strip and walk naked to the scale to weigh myself. I then walk back to the locker and dress for my workout. After my workout, I remove my workout clothes and carry just a towel to the sauna. If the sauna is empty I simply sit nude on my towel. If someone comes in I normally stay nude, but have arranged my towel so that I can loosely drape myself if I feel the new arrival is uncomfortable. This rarely happens. In fact, I feel like the new arrivals wish they had come in nude. They tug at their shorts and move the waistband down and the legs of the shorts up. If others are in the sauna when I arrive, I read the room to decide how revealing I can be. After the sauna, I shower and walk back nude with the towel over my shoulder, and remain nude to walk to the mirror or get water from the fountain. I usually stay nude for 15 to 20 minutes before dressing and leaving. I have found the engaging in small talk with others completely puts them at ease. Especially when you engage them in conversation the first time with clothes on. Once someone feels they know you, your nudity makes no difference. If you make the effort to talk with others in the gym before you walk around nude, they accept you regardless of the amount of time you spend nude. Dont act creepy and people wont think you are creepy.
