Return to DiscussionsOne of the great things about being a guy is having an erection. I agree "know your boundaries". If I am with just a bunch of naked guys then yes, I am sure someone is going to have a spontaneous one whether they want it or not. I don't care if it's me, I am almost average in that department so it's not world shattering. In public nudist places though you go with the standards of the area. For example, a nudist place I visit just asked that men cover up those erections out of courtesy for others, which I am good with. If guys want to show it elsewhere , fine with me- I am gonna look. But not stare forever. Just curious is all. It is amazing at the diversity in those. Guys, have some pride in them. Don't be embarrassed. Took me years to learn that... Have some fun!
I believe that many, if not a majority, of persons think it'd be wonderful being able to enjoy the freedom of going naked. For most, though, they never get to experience the fun of nudity for concern over"what others might say or think"; self-consciousness about their bodies due weight, surgery scars, etc.; it's something "dirty" , or simply because they don't know of a safe place to go nude, other than at home.
Personally, I'm delighted if others see me naked, and it expresses a sense of freedom that I love being a part of. Though freedom and fun are the primary factors I enjoy, I'm fine too if others fantasize seeing me (or photos of me) naked. Eroticism is part of human nature for all of us, and that's okay too. Exhibitionism, on the hand, is intended to shock or offend, which my brand of nudism doesn't seek to do.

Definition of an exhibitionist is a person who behaves in an extravagant way in order to attract attention.
This is an interesting topic as I sometimes thought I was an exhibitionist since I went to nudist resorts. I appreciate the post I quoted. I made me look up the definition of exhibitionist.

That is TOTALLY different from nudism. Nudists uncover the whole body, not just the genitals. And this group is for exhibitionists, not voyeurs.
I agree with Paul. It happens. At my age I wish it happened with me. Yrs. ago my wife and a lady friend were at Red, White & Blue beach enjoying the sun and surf. There was a group of younger guys near us. The youngest guy in the middle was setting there all normal but with a lovely erection. I was rather enjoying it. But our friend was a bit upset. Shes a longtime Nudist. I told her get a grip hes young new to this and itll go away soon. And it did, at Hawaii Nudist Park when we first started going Id drive Nude to the gate in my Mustang Convertible top down. I would work the combination to open the gate all the while sporting an election, then Id put on a swim suit and we would drive home. But never drove home nude as many members did. But then they werent in a convertible. ;-))
