Being nude in a gym locker room
Return to DiscussionsWhen I'm in the gym locker room, I like to stay nude till I'm ready to leave. I often chat with other guys, some of them are nude and some are not. What do you like to do?
When I belonged to a gym, I did the same thing.
One of the other members who was usually nude in the locker room and I often chatted with worked for the same company. Sort of put a new twist on the saying "If you are nervous making a presentation pretending that the audience is naked."
What I do in the locker room at the pool/gym really does depend on who is in there at the time. It's not unusual for children to be around, in which case I do not do any nudity at all, and on occasion female staff clean when it is in use so I don't surprise them by being naked in their presence. All common sense really.
However, when the opportunity presents itself I will sometimes walk about naked but I'm careful doing so because plenty of people don't appreciate it. There are a few members who are very open about nudity in which case I will let them see everything.
I'm really not much of an indoor nudist anyway and would much rather be naked outdoors and when I have the chance to do so I will happily take off my clothes to enjoy the feeling of being nude outside which is very different.
A gym locker room is for changing, showering etc where nudity is basically required. If there are children around, they should be told before they enter the locker room to expect to see nudity.
The gym that I go to has separate locker rooms for the boys and girls.
A gym is different from say a nudist club changing room. In the latter you would arrive nude. In a gym it is necessary to respect and not offend other people. If some on e wishes to chat with you nude than that is fine, even so you still need to respect others who might be present.
One of the swimming pools I go to has a common changing room and cubicles. If there are children present with parents, I always change in the cubicles.
