Return to DiscussionsHi I have never been nude around other people (except for my girlfriend) and I looking for people I can try with. The only issue is that I am abit concerned about getting an erection. Do people frown upon this as I don't want to offend anybody. Thanks for your advise in advance
When visiting resorts, the beach or a at home event, nudists always carry towels with them. Carrying a towel is primarily for sanitary reasons, but secondary is that should a male get an erection they can cover themselves until your little friend decides to relax. Though nudism is not sexual in nature we are still human and if you take personal care when the moment arises no one is going to be surprised or pay much attention. The more time spent around other naked people you should become more comfortable and relaxed, able to go with the flow. Hope this helps.

It's understanble I've heard just use a towel
It's also good to be able to relax with a bud, not for any other reason than to go through the experience of being aroused by getting naked, not be shy of it, and have it be a completely non-sexual experience. After a few times, it won't happen anymore, because you will have trained yourself to not associate nudity with arousal. I had this issue all the time as a younger man, and it is gone completely now. Being confident in your body makes enjoying non-sexual nudity, and naturism easier and it shows others you have matured.
Men spend a lot of sleeping time aroused and it's therefore a natural (non-sexual) state of being. When nudity becomes equated with sexuality, this perception changes. Nudists, however, are unlikely to get offended and may even be congratulatory for your healthy blood flow. For your own comfort, however, carry a towel and don't be surprised if it becomes irrelevant once take on a view that bodies are only bodies and they are good.
