Navel stud and Waist cord
Return to DiscussionsI went in to get a tattoo on my arm but instead returned with a gleaming white stone navel stud! It was painless when having it inserted , but a few days later it started itching and the skin would get inflamed though I took great care to keep it clean at all times. I constantly had to use an antiseptic ointment. However, the skin in the navel grew thinner and weaker and the stud finally fell out on its own. Have not replaced it. About a year ago a friend from south India gave me a silver waist cord which is popularly worn by men in that region of the country.I'm told it is to ward off diseases in the lower abdominal region and enhance sexual appeal. It does look quite sexy and whenever I don't feel like wearing regular underwear but need to keep my assets in place, I just slip a strip of cloth through it back and front! :)
