Return to DiscussionsOver 15 yrs I posed a few times for an informal group of artist to sketch, then stopped for reasons i don't remember. I refound the the group
and sure enough they are still sketching. Now a bit more organized . I posed last night for them. 3 middle aged guys 1 male and 2 female college students. Held poses from 10 secs to a full 25 min. Fun to be paid to be naked and seen. I think they will be inviting me back
about once a month.
How did the sketches come out ?
I did not get much of a chance to review them. The guy in charge said that often the model gets to see them. But last night the artist
did seem in a hurry to get going. One of the artist and i went out for a drink afterwards but he did not bring his sketch pad into the bar
I did see the male college kid's sketch in progress. His board was down where i could see it if i happened to be posed in that direction.
last night was my 2nd session with the group. The cooridinator thinks because of the holiday season they ended up with the small group ever. It was just him and one other artist. But that gave us a chance to vary from the normal routine. And we chat while they sketched. They encouraged me to share some of my travel stories while holding the poses. As a result the time flew by and what started out as a 20 min pose ended up going to nearly an hour which gave the artist a chance to more details.
I got to see his work when we wrapped it up. I liked what I saw.
And he tipped big which was unexpected . But I think he enjoyed the personal session.
