Return to DiscussionsSo what's the current trend for men out there right now? I used to have a landing strip and then completly shaven, but I got lazy and am now full on Bush, which is fine. Am just wondering if there is a current or popular trend with men right now. Ladies feel free to put in your two cents also.
Exactly how I feel regarding hairy legs vs smooth elsewhere.
I work at a university and use the campus gym. It still has a big open shared shower room, and I think I've seen every level and combination, but for younger guys it's trending shaved or really closely buzzed about 75 percent.
A few of my friends have asked me this. I'd say 80-85% shave completely, trim tight or have some sort of design. Over the past 19 years I've seen probably 10's of thousands of naked people at the beaches, private parties, resorts, nude cruises, locker rooms and spas. And the majority is shaved
Really I think it should come down to personal choice rather than follow a trend or the latest fashion.
Over the years I have been waxed from pubes all the way through to top of crack, other times just trimmed pubes and waxed rest.
Have also shaved sac and shaft and left the rest.
Currently it is just naturally hairy all over.
None of this was done for trends or fashion it was done for me and what I wanted at the time.
As for partners I have had it is their choice and have enjoyed them being at all spots on the hair scale
Do what you want guys and enjoy it.
I have hairy legs so I know exactly what you mean. I don't like totally shaved on me having tried it a few times. My compromise is a neatly trimmed man bush, no funky shapes or lines. I then wet shave my balls and shaft so they are smooth. Doesn't look out of place against the backdrop of hairy legs but still looks clean and tidy.
I agree with the others mainly but would maybe adjust the point to be that whats current seems to be more variety. Doing what feels best for you and best matches your body seems to be more in fashion than all one way or another. I think this is an extension of the facial hair variety that has become the norm. The shaving of every hair that was popular a decade ago has relaxed into a real mix. Granted there are few who do nothing at all. At least some trimming sees to be almost universal.
As for myself, Im not very hairy to begin with, just my pits, pubes, crack and legs really. I was only shaving the shaft and lightly trimming the bush, but when I started using ball stretchers I needed to shave my sack because otherwise it was uncomfortable. Ive shaved everything before and didnt like how I looked. Strangely, I felt like it looked as if my junk had been tacked on as an afterthought. A trimmed bush anchors it to my body. Ive shaved my crack and hole and aside from being a pain to do, I didnt like it. Without the hair to channel away sweat, all my farts were very juicy and loud which just didnt play well with me.
So these days its shaved shaft and sack and a lightly trimmed bush.
Winter's coming and my outside nude time is going to depend on the temperature outside. So this is generally my lazy time of the year and just be natural. Come March though it will be back to smooth. I personally don't care what the trend is my own comfort is what I enjoy.
