Laser hair removal
Return to DiscussionsI have had about seven or eight IPL sessions on my upper back and shoulders, but it has proved not to be permanent. The hair does grow back much slower, and probably a bit lighter, but it still comes back. I have been told I need more sessions, but its too expensive. I bought an epilator from Amazon, which works just as well. It basically pulls the hairs out by the root, and hurts like hell, but it lasts quite long and there is no stubble when it grows back. I have my boyfriend use it on my back/shoulders before the summer and do touch ups before vacation, etc.
I am currently doing LHR and really please with the results. (I've only got a handful of sessions left) The only downside I've found is that I've turned 'greyer' than I'd thought and the laser doesn't affect grey or white hair. (Wish I had done it 5 or 10 years ago) The grey that is left does seem weaker and/or thinner so shaving or trimming it away is much easier.
For those interested I'm removing all hair from the neck down.
