Manscaping the dome: what do you do?

Return to Discussions

I'm folically challenged and while I kid myself there's still a little fuzz on top, photos suggest its visual impact is negligible. So I'm left with a band of hair from one ear to another. I've turned into my Dad, even if for me it was a slightly later stage in life.

While I keep that short, I've never taken the step of removing it entirely, but perhaps it's time to give it a go.

For those of you who go the full dome, what made you decide to eliminate it all and what's your regime for maintenance?

The worst thing is a man who is bald on top but has it long and thick on the sides and back. Really unattractive IMO. Though not bald myself, I would suggest closely trimmed rather than shaved. It looks sleeker on most men. With the popularity of baseball caps in many settings who can really tell.
Old men with long hair can't pull it off. Even with the best shampoos out there your hair is dull and lifeless. It doesn't have that full bodied look of a young stud. Also that washed out grey. A few seniors can pull off that distinguished silver look. I said a few.

@roffsusen Your reasoning is exactly why I dont shave bald yet. My sides are full but I trim sides and back with a #1. My top is thin but who can tell with the ball cap look!
