Smooth vs Full Bush Continuum

Return to Discussions

I have been stimulated to make some non scientific surveys, but first let me mention a new thought for me. Bush vs smooth is really a continuum from completely smooth to totally natural similar to the continuum for sexual orientation.
So there are some guys who shave just about everything from the shoulders down every day and are completely smooth. There are others who keep the pubes and usually the armpit completely smooth, but leave some amount of hair on the chest. Next are the guys who try to stay smooth, but usually only shave about once a week so they often have what I call long stubble. Then there are guys who trim their pubes and chest hair to about a quarter inch. Next are the guys who manscape their pubes to a much smaller patch, but could have some longer hair. Next are the long trimmers who mostly just shape their bush and keep it around 2 inches in length. Often in this category are the guys who keep their balls, shaft, and a small amount of open space at the base of their penis smooth. Then pretty much fully natural. I will include guys here who keep their balls smooth for the feel and touch but a full natural bush.

Any thoughts about the Smooth vs Bush Continuum?

RE: Smooth vs Full Bush Continuum

I did a survey on the crowded beach at Cap d'Agde on two occasions
about two years apart. I surveyed over 1000 men (and 1000 women)
each time. I agree there is this continuum. Firstly I noted that
about 2/3 of men had no pubes at all on both years. This included
quite a few with otherwise hairy bodies. They had this curious
boundary line across the lower belly. Those with trimmed or shaped
pubes were amongst the 1/3 counted as having pubes along with those
who were completely natural. The tendency to remove all pubic hair
appeared to have no relationship to the age, sizeor fitness
of the men or whether they had beards or tattoos. There may have
been a slight bias more towards pube-removal amongst those with
genital piercings. Oh and for the record, I have a beard and remove all the
body hair belowmy neck. I would fall into the groupwith
stubbleas my hair removal is by waxing and the hairs
reach a certain length for the wax to work.
