Nudist wife and non-nudist husband
Return to DiscussionsI am curious to know if I am the only wife whose husband is not into it at all. I read a lot about the men who are nudists but whose wives don't take part. My experience is the other way around. My husband is accepting me wanting to be nude at home and in our (mostly private) garden, but is determined not to join me. I have yet to brooch the subject of me being nude at a club or a beach.
Are there any other wives who are in the same positions as me, please?

I had a friend who wanted to go visit a retired friend who lived full-time at a nudist resort. Her husband asked: "Are you planning on getting naked there?" She said: "Probably, yes." He said: "No way I'm going." She replied: "I'm going with or without you; you can stay home if you want." His pride prevented him from letting her go alone; so he went.
This kind of "strong-arm" tactic doesn't really work the other way around. But women have more leverage in that regard. Some here might disagree with me; but if it works, it works.
I must admit that it is unusual where you have a wife who is a naturist and the hubby isn't, although I have come across it in naturism. Generally it is the guy who introduces naturism to a female and not the other way around. I have introduced 2 females to naturism in the last 20 years when I got into naturism having a wife who was definately not interested. Now a member of a great UK naturist club having had 2 females 'friends' who I introudced to naturism who just love it. Must add though that I have a wife who is not interested either in sex, and current female naturist companion whose husband is not interested in sex!! You don't have to answer, however it would be interesting to know if your husband is likewise?
I've seen it more than once. Wife not only nudism but also couple "interaction"if you will that the female was the spark plug. It did wig the guy friend out at first but he did acclimate. We never cared who did what when or where as we were always respected us as nudist only when they got to know us. Bleve me I guarded my wife large in the early days. Its true many did not understand why Luann was not a swing but as time went on they sure got it. Never a prob sense no matter where we go. I got to thinking perhaps it's the way you carry oneself ??

well you're definitely the, change to the normal, as far as nudist relationship styles go. In general, its usually the obverse, being the more common. I have found over the years that it starts of innocently enough, and then takes on another agenda, usually lead by the male side. However, from a guys POV, you're definitely the unicorn. It very refreshing to hear there are girls with your attitude to nudism around, I can also get the not wanting to be nude in public, but that's a cultural thing which is inbred into our psyche form an early age. I do hope you manage to make a forward leap into public nudism (on beach etc) , going to ask the obvious), have you ventured to take your hubby to a nudist beach etc or something like nudefest, maybe you just need to find the right "ice breaker".
I appreciate its not easy, maybe he needs to experience a nude beach first!!.

Tom. Its funny you say this. When I was getting ready for my first nude 5k race my wife asked me, "Why don't you just do a normal race? Don't you want to wait until you retired or in your 50s or 60s like other people to do something like this?"
The year I did my first race was following 3 major deaths in our family. I decided after the third unexpected loss that we don't have much time and I don't want to die with wondering what it would have been like to try something.
My wife has been to one nude resort with me she stayed clothed. We are going back in March but I don't know if it out of curiosity to know more or just faithfulness to see me run lol. We will see either way its one baby step forward.

A couple came to Gunnison and set up near me. She stripped immediately and he left on long board shorts. We got talking and I found out that they were dating and she just asked him if he wanted to go to the beach without telling him that it was clothing optional. She had been there before, he had never been to a clothing optional beach. He did eventually drop his shorts .
My late wife was not a nudist but would walk from the family bathroom to our bedroom naked. She would also do the housework naked if she had lotion on her skin and cleaned the showers and bathrooms naked before or after showering, I think more a convenience thing. I mentioned this to her sister who knows I'm a nudist, caught me a few times after Marn died, and she does the same thing, so maybe that was familial. My wife was naked at the beach with me about twice, topless often, so she was not a nudist as such.
