I think it because of a few things like 1 - the first thing you look at when in the show in the guys cock 2 - your a grower or shower 3 -your cut or uncut 4 - being hard or soft. 5 - a small person or a large person.I think most are about the same size
I think it'svanitymore than anything else. Since our masculinity is defined by our penises, I think we all enjoy showing them off a bit--having themmore prominent, especiallyin photos. A bigger size, of course, accomplishes that more than anything!It's kind of like having a new car--another symbol of power that male's identify with. I used to have a 4-cylinder pickup, recently replaced it with a 6-cylinder model which has a larger engine, more power. Think of a bigger penis as a larger engine!

In my case I have always felt inferior because of my size. Also I always feel I am competing with my wife old lovers since she told me about all of them and has told me that I am the smallest she has ever had. I always think that she can't be satisfied with me even though she has been with me for 24 years. I am also sure I could find a place to store it in clothes if I had a big one also. Wishful thinking
