Greetings; what is your current project?
Return to DiscussionsHope you are all having a ggod day. Doug out one of my building kits to start working on. Bought one of those of those old White House kits. Am leaving off the wings (will use them later on another project). It is going to be the train station in my one city. Have a lot of masking to do on the precast windows before painting the base body. After basr coat applied I will be using the 'Flexstone" brand of paint to give it a sandstone finish. Should look good when all done. Have train sheds to go out back for passenger trains to back into.
It is about time I started. Have about 38 kits not put together yet that I have been buying over the years when I could get them on sale.
Let's hear from some of you.
my layout city is luxomini a small town in georgia that was passed over by another city by the railroad and post office even though it is only a block or so apart and the railroad still passes through. i haven't done much as i consider it a winter hobby but i'm always on lookout for building which i have no room for and vehicle which i have a ton of but actually i'm think in the next few weeks of ordering people as i have few of, kinda like a ghost town without. ebay seems to be a good source where you can get a hundred or so for a few bucks, i would like to hand paint them individually to make them stand out more and as i stated previously i want a nude beach scene - they have it in HO so it would be easy in N scale. i am also thinking of makinga coffee table for it to fit into in the man cave where it will be easier to access, yes another great thing about N or Z scale.
I have the nude HO fugures, but haven't got them painted yet. When I put them on the layout I am rebuilding, I want them outfront near the edge for a little "shock" when people come to look at the layout! Already have a mock-up drawn for placement of the camp and it's buildings.
