Return to DiscussionsI weigh about 320. I want to get down to 220. I have a bicycle. I know I need to start small so how long of a ride should I be looking at? The area I live in is mildly hilly. Should I start out with a quarter of a mile and work my way up?
You should be biking at least several miles about 4 days a week. And you need to watch what you eat, especially if biking is your only form of physical exercise. Stay away from simple carbs and increase your diet with clean protein, green leafy vegetables, and complex carbohydrates. Although it may be difficult at first, once you get a routine going, it should propel you to go even further in your development. Best of luck to you!
