Return to DiscussionsUnless it gets really cold I live nude at home year round. I love living the nudist way but I'm not into high fuel bills, or burning things just to stay naked, if I get cold I tend to find something around the place that needs doing which involves exercise. Its funny how the place seems to stay cleaner and tidier in winter!
For most of the winter I just escape the country and go to Bali.There it's not really possible to be nude outdoors, well I hope to find a house for rent with a walled garden, then it would be possible.
For the rest of the time it's too expensive to heat up all the house so I get dressed.

Winter in Southern California ... some would think or say, there's no such thing but in reality, it does get cold here and this past New Years Day, we had 4" of snow in our city and more in surrounding cities. It didn't last long but for people who aren't used to it, it was such fun and we'll remember it always.
Winter temps can dip into the mid to low 20's in our valley. I've been out in it for short periods of time while going back and forth to the work shed. We keep the inside of the house at about 68 during the day and I will be naked and my wife will wear a light weight robe. At night we keep the house at about 62 and we sleep well and cuddle more ... in the winter!
If the need arises, which it does, we will visit Palm Springs where it is always 10-12 degrees warmer than here at home. We visit our favorite resort and enjoy being naked in the sun and socializing with other nudists, while those at home are bundled up in jackets. We don't get the extreme temps here in So Cal that many other places get but ... that's why we live here and that's why we prefer living here.

I find winter's not a problem as the heating's on. It's those in between times where it's a bit cold for naked but not cold enough to put your heating on, then I usually throw on a t-shirt or sweater and leave my bottom half naked.

We are part of the privileged population that lives in California. We do have a heater, but its quite small since our temperature does not vary much at all. I open all the curtains in cold weather and let the sun naturally warm us. I also have a big fluffy white robe I can wear at home for those chilly days. Just having it on, but still open warms me as much as I need. If I am in front of any windows or I have to make a dash outside I can close it quickly and them open it again so there's still the nudist feeling at home.
