Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -
For people who like to be naked in the house...
Are we freaks?
Return to DiscussionsI was wondering if wanting to be nude all
the time is some kind of mental disorder.I suppose some would say yes to
this question. Have you ever wondered what makes you want to be nude all the
time? Dont get me wrong about my question Im not saying there is anything
wrong with nudism. I spend every minute I can nude but have sometimes wondered
why I love it so much. Why do you enjoy it?
I especially want to be nude during the summer time. I'm incredibly warm natured and being nude helps combat that. I hate having my clothes be sweaty and stick to me. i find it really uncomfortable. So, the nudity is more utilitarian, more than any other philosophical reasons. I do however, enjoy reading about the philosophy of nudism.
I loved my job ... but hated - with a passion - the frequent requirement of wearing a suit and a tie around my office. Now that I am retired I feel finally liberated. I have disposed of all my ties and most of my other formal clothes ... and spend as much time as I can naked as I was born ... If that makes me a freak - I like being a freak ...
No we are not freaks if you look at it properly an animal will grow fur to cover its self after birth we do not so therefore we are meant to be naked plus the fact is we breathe through our pores as well as our nose and mouth so why cover the pores up you dont cover your mouth and nose up all the time
I cannot possibly see how one wanting to be naturally how one was born can be freakish. Being natural is just plain ordinary because that's how we are made. We were not born with clothing. We developed clothing for protection from the elements. But as our society evolvedthose in controlput rules on what is natural and what isn't for controlover the rest of the societysubjugating society totheir idea ofconformity. Natural bodies became obscene and unclean. Along with that so did sex. So we have a pretty messed up society as a result today. The main instigators of this corruption of what is natural and what isvilewas and continues to be religion. So are we freaks? Or is the main conforming stream of society freakish?
No I don't think we are freaks but we are seen as freaks by the majority of the population. I don't really care that the unenlightened majority has problems with their own nudity but I have to say it is unfair of anyone to tell anyone how to live their own life. I spend the day dressed at work and strip naked as soon as I get home, not as some kind of compulsion or even a need. I do it because I enjoy it and it helps me unwind from the day. Nudity is physically healthy, that's why I stay naked in the locker room as much as possible and while others are doing the towel dance and trying desperately to keep them selves covered with layers of underwear and clothes, and even bathing suits in the showers I get and stay nude while I shower (imagine that!), walk around, shave, brush my teeth, etc, and then I go commando as I head off to work. I go to a Russian bath house regularly where the guys all hang nude and I feel incredibly rested and detoxified when I leave there because as one previous poster said, we are meant to breathe through our skin. When we have no clothes, unlike most other mammals we have no heavy covering of hair or fur. As he said, we don't cover our nose and mouths, so why our skin? I also love hanging naked with others because there is no pretense. That's one reason I prefer non-sexual nude situations. It's all about the nudity, no other agenda. Just because some freak decided thousands of years ago in western civilization that we should wear clothes doesn't mean that today we should be seen or labeled as freaks today when we don't wear them. So, no. I don't think we are freaks. I think we are progressive and enlightened and of some higher order than the great textiled majority.
And I'm not even what I'd call a Nudist! I defend nudism and I celebrate it but I don 't live it day in and day out. I just love being naked when and where I can.
Every response above rings true to me. Society has us thinking we are stripping off whereas the decision is not to strip off but to get dressed. Some choose to be constantly dressed and for a time I subscribed to that culture even though I really did not want to. But with the years comes an awareness of the need to be and respect self. I respect others and will get dressed when it is necessary but am much more myself when I have not needed to get dressed.

just more comfortable, i went out on errands today and it was in high 90f already and when i got home i got nude - why do i need clothes in my house. i would love to see the day when clothing optional would be the norm outdoors while shopping, bank or beach. when you see some outfits now days some are just a step from being nude anyways.
