Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -
For people who like to be naked in the house...
At home in the fall/winter
Return to DiscussionsI got through last fall and winter (my first as a full fledged nudist) by wearing an open robe to stay warm but still be naked underneath. Certainly not as good as being completely nude but have to stay warm somehow! However, the other day as I was undressing after work I stopped to do something after I was naked from the waist down. I ended up staying this way for the rest of the evening: Shirt only. I like the much better than having a robe that covers me completely unless I open it up (and even then my butt is still covered. So, somewhat by accident, this is my new cold weather indoor attire!
The Naturist Society has a grey zipper front hoodie thats made out of a light weight jersey cotton , just a little heavier than a tshirt , even leaving it unzipped keeps me warm enough , sort of the benefits of the robe in a tshirt,

Got a more efficient heater over the summer.
Debating between keeping the house at the same temperature as priors years and saving money and helping the environment or raising the heat a few degrees so I can be nude at home most of the winter.
Anyone have thoughts on this?
Just a thought - Budget/money always important, of course. New heating system efficiency will allow you to enjoy the higher temp using less fuel. If you can be nude more often you will save on power & water usage for washing clothes...a good environmental benefit. Win/Win.
When I get cold at home in the winter, I can often be comfortable wearing just a sweat shirt (cotton fleece) and fuzzy slippers. Sometimes only the slippers are needed, if it's only my feet that are cold.
I actually find shirts more uncomfortable than shorts, so I am not likely to do that.

I find that shorts are less comfortable than a sweat shirt although the do have the advantage of not needing a sitting towel.
However, most authorities seem to consider that covering the upper body is more effective for keeping warm.
My winter nude is an open lined denim shirt and footwear. I find if I keep my upper back and shoulders and toes warm , the rest of me is comfy. Hence I wear shorts well into Autumn and first thing in spring while others are always asking if I am cold when I have shorts on

I now have solar, so I am keeping the aircon going plus the open fires!

I wear shorts in fairly cool temperatures also. My legs don't get cold but my crotch does.
