Should be customary umong nudists
Return to DiscussionsI've always wished that their was a strict custom that you MUST COMPLETELY disrobe when entering a nudists home and stay completely nude for the duration of the visit in the same manner as when you enter a Japanese persons home you must take your shoes off and keep them off...
One of the big arguments that we keep hearing is that it's unfair that people will not allow us to be naked wherever and whenever we wish.
It would be so hypocritical of us to therefore insist that textiles have to undress when visiting a nudist.
I would be happy if everywhere was just clothing optional and then everyone could be happy (how naive am I?)

I don't see the practicability of it. The riffs it would create
would severely out weigh the pleasantness of being nude. Last
night as we just arrived home from work my son stopped in with his
girlfriend who we have only met twice previously. In the topic's
scenario what were we to do, strip down and advise her to do the
same as it's proper for you to be naked as it's home of
nudist?

Yeah, but being nude should be a fundamental human right, just like being black. We all have the same two body parts and we know what the other persons parts look like even if we never saw that person nude before. Now their are even laws in place for transgender people to use the bathroom of the opposite sex - why not go all the way and have communal showers and changing rooms? Sorry got a bit off subject their...
well i imagine it would cut down on friends visiting so i'd be ok with the idea but wouldn't expect a non nudist to disrobe, i have a few friend that wheni visit them i get nude when i walk in but i'm there for sunbathing, pool, hottub etc anyways.
Some people are nudists. Some people are non nudists. Both are good people. Both respect that both sides are different, honor that and get along. Are you going to accept that? Or....are you going to build a wall around yourself and only let nudists in? In time it will be very lonely there inside your little walled area.
I Never said that I would implement such a rule. I Simply stated that I WISHED they existed, similar to how it is customary to take ones shoes off when entering a Japanese persons home or many other people for that matter. Or as another person here pointed out, when you go to a vegans or vegetarians home, you are expected to eat what they eat. Why shouldn't we as Nudists expect the same courtesy..?
That should be LAW. We have friends that come over and I'm always nude, they understand but only a couple of them will join me/us. I have tried to explain the stress free feeling you get from being nude but they are to hung up on there looks.I have explained that not everyone is a 10, there are lots of 2s and 3s out there that are completely stress free. Maybe one day we can win the world over to nudism.
