Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -

For people who like to be naked in the house...

Season starting

Return to Discussions

I have shared before that I host long distance bicyclist for meals and overnight lodging. Over the past 5 riding seasons 74 different folks have pedaled up to my door. I have it clearly stated that I am nudist and unless they ask in advance for me to be clothed I will be nude while they are here, but are under no obligation to go bare themselves. Last year only one solo traveling young woman out 24 total riders asked for a clothed host and I gladly obliged her.
Two days ago i got a request from a young man, who in his initial contact via email stated " as a British male (age 32) I'm probably rather prudish on nudity, but you have some great reviews and would appreciate you hosting me Saturday"
I told him he could come and reminded him that I will wear shorts and a tshirt if he wants me to.He followed up with " I feel rude asking you not to be on your own home when you are so kind hearted as a host, Let's compromise with shorts LOL"
Then a 3rd email came it started with " My manners have won over my prudishness, It's your house and your kind hospitality. You do what you need to do! I'll do my best to join you"
I think I might be creating a convert before he even pedals up to the door. It is going to be cooler this eve, I will probably be Donald Ducking in an open shirt when he gets here. BUt after a meal will suggest we both strip completely to soak. Rarely do Pedalers refuse a hot tub soak after a long day's ride.

I await an update on whether you have made a convert!

You state variously 74 and 24 riders. Which one was the typo, please.

All the best,

All the best,
DNDarknude read it correctly
each year more have shown up than the year before. It was 3 seasons ago that I created my nudist wording very proactively. Prior to that I hinted at my nude habits and went on a case by case basis. I have gotten quite a bit of feedback from the riders that my current wording is a good way to approach it and many have tried their first time at social nudity in my hot tub, if not even before we soak.

How many riders have you had return in subsequent seasons? Is this just for bicycle riders, or do you allow motorcycle riders too?

I am a life member of the League of American Bicyclists and a couple of decades ago we also hosted a small group (of, I think 4) traveling across country. We were not nudists back them, so that would not have been an issue. However, one of the men was a vegetarian and neglected to inform us of that ahead of time, so dinner time became a bit uncomfortable when I ordered sausage pizza. I said to simply remove the sausage, but I think he didn't want the residual meat flavors tainting the rest of his meal.
I guess the point of my story is that its great you can at least inform people of your situation ahead of time so they can adjust or make other plans. The guy in our case did not tell me anything till I was on the phone making a food order and by then a little late.
On the positive side you may be evangelizing new folks into our fold and spreading the word that nudism is more comfortable and not as demonic as some would paint us.

It does not matter me to what I fix, and it is a joy to serve up something craved to someone who has been on the road for a while sometimes with a limited budget. I have gladly fixed vegetarian meals for several, but thankfully have not had a request for vegan. Not sure a meal without cheese, dairy, eggs, honey, etc is even edible. This guy just said no mayonnaise or cream cheese. We are having meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, fresh fruit, and since he is British fresh picked rhubarb in crisp.

RE: Season starting UPDATE

The bicyclist showed up about 45 min early which was fine. He "caught" me sunbathing nude in the backyard relaxing the late afternoon sun after doing nude yard work. i showed him his room and he showered up while I worked on the meal. We traded travel stories while the meatloaf baked and he explained the revising of his thought process while he pedaled on his way here. He kept coming back to that he thought it was rude of him to ask me to cover up in my own home because he was a prude. Especailly since I was welcoming him into my home. Shortly after supper I offered a hot tub soak and he jumped at the chance to strip and soak. We had 2 hour chat while soaking and continued it back inside once we were so waterlogged we had to get out. He wrapped a towel around himself and looked through my guestbook with past travelers. In it are several pics of bare bikers with only their helmets in providing modesty. I pointed out that the 4 Belgium bicyclist started that tradition 2 summers ago. His response was " we we can't break that tradition"So his towel was dropped and he got his helmet from the bike on the porch, the timer set and the taken , Him and i arm in arm , his helmet and my baseball cap our clothes. Heck of a nice guy who is willing to push his comfort zone.
