Naked in my yard and on my deck
Return to DiscussionsHi everyone! My back yard is fairly open to the neighbors on one side and to those in the back. Fairly certain none of the neighbors are nudists. I like to go outside nude in the summer and sit in the deck, enjoy some coffee, and grill. Am I at risk o having he police called for indecent exposure? Has anyone experienced that?
I'm always nude in my backyard. I finally got a fence up a few years ago but before that I had a 48" tall portable privacy i angled and no one could see us laying out. Had roofers across the canal one day see me I waved and layed back down. I even cut the grass in the nude
I wouldn't be carefree with this. For sure you could do some serious jail time if kids or a school is near. If you really want to do this outside then work at making it private. I live in a condo with a tiny yard that is next to a common area. I put up a partition of rolled bamboo and also started growing bamboo in containers. I now have a 7' wall of privacy all around my patio. All I need is a few more plants and the neighbors view is gone. Be creative......make your privacy. Don't wait for a visit from the Police and get the label pervert.
I found away around nosey neighbors and my outside activities, but it requires you to be semi nude!! I have a couple of oversized t-shirts that I wear outside in the mornings and have my coffee on the porch!! They don't seem to notice that I have nothing on underneath!! It also satisfies my wife that they won't call the law!! When you live in the Bible Belt you just have to semi adjust to them!! But as one person said go to them and tell them you're a nudist, at least you put forth the effort!!
We have built a pool and skinny dip all the time. Our backyard can be seen easily by three neighbors. The fourth neighbor already has privacy on their side provided by bushes. One house is a rental. We have told all the neighbors we skinny dip. If we see small children out, we will take care to cover up, but if it's adult neighbors, we don't care if they see us. This summer, we planted a lot of shrubs and erected an art wall. One neighbor has said they don't care. Unfortunately they are moving. Another neighbor with small twin girls have been very cool towards us. They will talk with us, but we have never been invited over!
