Is my neighbor a nudist, too?

Return to Discussions

What is the best way to approach someone to ask if they are a nudist? I have a next door neighbor who has a window facing our house from which I have seen him several times in the early morning (I have to leave at 5am for work) without a shirt, but this seems to be a kitchen window over a sink so I can't see anything else. In fact, the only time I have seen this gentleman dressed is one day when he helped me push my broken down Jeep into our driveway. I suspect he may be a nudist, and if so, I'd like to let him know we are as well and would like to invite him over for a barbecue or something, but given the circumstances, I can't think of a non-creepy way to ask. "Hey, I've seen you at five in the morning several times through your kitchen window. Are you a nudist?" just doesn't sound like a good idea. I don't want to come across as a creep. Also, I don't want to outright say something like "Hey, we're going to be grilling burgers, you want to have some? By the way, we're nudists." because we live in a trailer park without fences. It's a well-kept park, but I fear that the nature of the openness of the park could lead to concern on his part if he, in fact doesn't approve of nudity. Our back yard is still pretty secluded, but if he were to complain to management, we're being nude on THEIR land, and that could get us evicted and even tangled up with the law.
How do approach this delicately and without sounding like a total creep?

RE: Is my neighbor a nudist, too?

As my profile indicates, I'm just a home nudist, and my wife, while being tolerant, is strictly textile.
Well, I could enjoy some nude sun, were it not for Mary's panic if I dare step out on to the patio. She fears our neighbor to the east will see, be shocked, and report me. (We have a shadowbox privacy fence.)
However, that neighbor is also a home nudist, indoors, since her property is a corner lot, and the height of her fence is limited by ordinance. Otherwise, I'm confident, (since she has intimated this to me) she would be absorbing the sun's rays too.
Sigh. If I told Mary that, however, I would be compelled to purchase yet another cast iron skillet to replace the one she would crack on my head. :)

I was showing our neighbors how we remodeled the backyard and his wife said damn you could go naked back here and laughed.... I said yes you can and we do, so if you pop your head over the fence to ask a question don't be shocked LOL i said I also cut the grass nude too. They laughed and said nothing wrong with that... They are in their late 60's..
Bull crapping with another guy at work and he was telling me about his hot tub, I said hope u have the same rule as mo NO SWIMWEAR ALLOWED.... He said damn right, then he told me he goes to a nude resort in Mexico

Perhaps a woman could get away with making a statement like that, but not a guy.

It's much easier to determine your neighbors are not nudists. I've noticed a few houses around where they never seem to close blinds or the front door even after dark. I tend to think they are not nudists. (Not that there's anything wrong with that)

Think I got seen the other day in the garden naked by the neighbours kids, I was sitting in my bedroom near the window and I heard the youngest say to his granddad, "We saw the man next door naked in the garden yesterday." I didn't hear when he said back.I can only assume they saw me when I was trying to fix the water sprinkler, I couldn't fix it whilst it was turned off and I didn't want to have to keep walking up and down the garden to turn the water on and off. So I just turned it on and took my shorts off and messed about with it whilst I was naked (which in itself was a lot of fun). I didn't even know they were in the garden, they are usually very noisy, but I guess they were quiet for a change. It was a hot day and getting soaked by the sprinkler felt very erotic and I hope it wasn't when I was walking back down the garden with a hard cock bouncing up down when they saw me. :)
Mind you, since I heard that, I've been playing with the sprinklers in the garden more than usual as I've had the house to myself for the last few days and getting sprayed with coldwater on a hot dayfeels great. :)

I think mine might be losing up some , this year before summer was here I got the guts to say to the neighbor I was a nudists and if it was ok if I it was alright with them if I could use my backyard to my surprise they did not care , over the summer I have notice them wearing less around, and a couple of weeks ago my wife told me the neighbor was out one morning in just a tank top and underwear with there dogs

Well, I know that is the case but they are missing something wonderful in their life and will probably never know it till they are old and gray, and then it is too late, allthere better days are gone. I guess one of the better things about getting old is you don't care what others think anymore. I don't really broadcast I am a nudist but if it comes up the I do not hesitate to say Yes I am. I do occasionally mention it sometimes but try to determine what type of people are around, If they seem to be very prudish then I keep quite unless someone else mentions it. One way I judge is the clothing they wear, most here wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt in 100 degree weather when cutting the grass, Me I wear very short shorts and no shirt. There are a few of the neighbors who now wear shorts and short sleeve shirts, doubt they will ever change. At the local Y there are only me and two other guys who get naked and shower, and yes we all three laugh about it.

You might try mentioning your all-over tan, most folks can handle
something like that, then it's in their court as to how they
respond. Also, with hot sultry summer nights, mention sleeping with
no covers needed is another roundabout way of bringing it up.

We enjoy chatting up folks when we travel and at home. We
often, casually, mention that we enjoy getting no-stripe tans or
visit skinny-dipper beaches. That's cute and light enough
that we never get sneers or snickers. Many smile. Even
strict Baptists are not apparently offended. If they
don't pick up the hint of the conversation, we move on. On
cruises, where we know of a nude beach, we often get two or three
couples joining us for first time nude beach romps.

I agree with you, but our blinds are usually closed in the day time to help keep out and save on a/c cost. At evening or night the front door is usually open and a full view glass storm door, I am also the only nudist in the house, and I am usually visible if I walk from the bedroom to the kitchen for just a moment, my wife complains that the neighbors might see me and I just told her that if they complain that I would ask them why they were looking inside my house.
