Return to DiscussionsThis is a great find. I hope I find some new spots based on other members' experiences here. I have bared all along Lake Michigan shores for many, many years. Back in the '80s, I would skinnydip near Belmont Harbor. I've made trips for naked time to Indiana Dunes, Saugatuck, and Sleeping Bear Dunes on the east side, Illinois State Beach and some remote areas north of Menominee MI on the West side (not much as far as beaches go, but hey, who's going to argue about naked time on the big lakes). The north side has some nice spots along route 2, but a little close to the road. Maybe one day....

I started this group because one day sitting naked in the Indiana Dunes and watching the lake I wondered how many other people were naked at the same time tucked away in their favorite place along the lake shore. Thanks for sharing your spot!
For 40 years I've been going nude on a secluded stretch of Lake Michigan beach about a mile and a half north of the Port Washington WI harbor. It's not an officially nude beach, but it is an ideal skinny-dipping spot because it's hard to get to and offers near complete privacy. With an unobstructed view of the shoreline perhaps a mile in either direction, you'll have plenty of time to cover up or take refuge in the cedar trees flanking the lake bluff should some errant beach walker come ambling along, but it rarely happens. My nude profile photos were taken there!
Thanks for this description. It's a long way from home but I may check it out one day on a trip down to Chicago. In the meantime I enjoyed a discreet skinnydip on a quiet stretch of beach in a Marinette wildlife preserve last week. Water was nice even so far north!
