I've begun preparing the boat and will start cruising in about 2 years.
Would enjoy hearing from others who are either preparing for a change of lifestyle or have started.

We are a few years behind you. We just purchased a 43ft ketch in Nov. We are planning to sail and update her over the next 2 to 3 years, then we will go to the islands for the winter and back to New England for the summers.

I am looking to start solo circumnavigate in the next 2-3 years. Have the boat in mind I want and I am learning all I can. Only big issue I have is that I NEED TO LEARN TO SAIL. Dont laugh, it will happen. Any cruisers want a free deck hand (nudity or not) let me know. I would love to lean from someone, happy to pay my own way, not looking for a salary, can be anywhere worldwide. 51 male, fit, no drama.
