Clothing Optional Venues

Return to Discussions

Who here goes to C/O venues and wear clothes? My opinion is, if I go through the time, effort and expense to travel to an area where nudity is allowed, then I want to spend as much time as possible nude. If the weather is conducive to nudity, why wear anything? There are hundreds of thousands of places I can go where I HAVE to remain clothed, so if I want to wear clothes I can just go to one of them. If you go somewhere that clothing is optional, why wear clothes? What's the point of going, if not to get nekkid?

That's a contrast to here where thongs have rapidly become normal for young females while guys resolutely stick to boardies unless the ones my age or older who are occasionally happy in a brief. The only blokes in thongs are those heading into or out of the CO zone at Sunnyside.Conversely, toplessness among females does not seem to be a thing at textile beaches despite being legal as far as I can tell. Sydney may be different; I haven't had the opportunity to research it lately. :-)Those accompanying their nude husbands at the CO beach may be topless and may choose a thong despite not being under 30-ish like for the textile beaches, and may wear even less depending in what they're doing.

I have been to 2 beaches near Sydney and one near Port Macquarie. On one, (Manly) I saw a few topless women, None on the other 2.
We saw a lifeguard competition at the one near Port Macquarie. The guards wore briefs for the competition, and bunched up the back like a thong for the rowing part. However, the ones actually guarding the beach wore boardies. Women on all of the beaches tended to wear skimpy bikinis, with a few thongs.

Yeah, apparently rowing causes extra rubbing unless you wear the briefs 'riding up'. I have no personal experience as I wore nothing for my longer paddles. :-)

But the lifeguards must realize that it is easier to swim in briefs if they wear them to compete. Yet they wear boardies when they might have to rescue someone. Doesn't that seem odd to you?

Apparently doing long distance rowing nude is not uncommon.

I wholeheartedly agree! My personal aspiration is to embrace nudity for as long as possible. I vividly remember my inaugural week-long stay at a resort where a friend resides year-round; the experience was both liberating and a bit bewildering. As I prepared for the trip, I found myself at a loss for what to pack. To say the least, most of the items I stuffed into my suitcase never saw the light of day! I cant quite recall what was going through my mind, but after flying and driving such a long distance to reach my destination, I suppose I wanted to be ready for anything. Looking back, all I can do is shake my head and laugh at myself!

Now, the most awesome realization about naked vacations, alongside the sheer joy of being nude, is just how minimal my packing has become. I find myself taking only the essentialsmostly toiletries and a few personal itemswhile clothing remains an afterthought. The only exception is during the cooler months when I might bring a lightweight robe to navigate between buildings. I wear in an outfit, which gets tossed into the washer the instant I step through the door, banished from thought until the final fleeting moments before I have to leave. A naked vacation is the most liberating and exhilarating journey you'll ever embark on! My friend, who resides at the resort, always finds it amusing to observe newcomers arrive with hefty suitcases full of clothes. He often wonders why they bother when theyve chosen a nudist resort as their getaway. I cant help but share in his amusement!
