Thank you for your insight, it was enlightening and helpful. I am not homophobic and I like people of both sexes and ages to look at me as I enjoy looking at them. I just didn't know quite how to discourage them before it got a little out of hand, so thought best to ask the longer members for advice, I have already in my profile I am straight. Easy. Anyone wanting to be friends and to chat will hit the "Message" button. All others will hit "Friend Request" button and not bother with the Former.Approve the people you could be friends with and ignore the randoms.

I am, it was the ones who asked for a lot more that I didn't like. You have helped a lot and now know how to deal with it. PS I have some friends that are gay, and they are friends, They have never approached me in a sexual manner, and respect my choice as much as I respect their, guess that is why we are still good friends. Yes that is my experience as well and I will say that a few peoples idea of Skyping is waving their penis in my face as an intro is not what I joined TN for. But they were few. The majority of the people I Skype with now are fine decent folks. And some are now good friends.
