Very bold! I'm challenged to think where I could wear them that I couldn't just be nude! That style with a patterned fabric to disguise the details would be easier to get away with.

When there not wet they don't show much. In the pic they are wet. Yes a style pattern would definitely get away with.
There are plenty of beaches in California where you could wear those and no one would care.
The law in California is fairly nude friendly. If you're on a beach that is NOT a State Beach and is outside of city limits, you can be nude. I've been nude on such beaches in California where there were clothed people -- they never gave any indication that they noticed I was nude. On such beaches, nudity is a non-issue.
So, you could totally get away with wearing your see-through swimsuit there.

Found a YouTube channel that focuses on the mayhem at a few popular boat ramps in the Miami area. Thongs and even the occasional string feature on many women, but the guys seem to universally be in long shorts. Definitely need more equality, guys! :-)

I agree! Miami Beach is one of the few places where you can find men in swim briefs. I would have expected to see some at the marina.
Strangely enough, another place where some men wear swim briefs is Disney World. Probably because it draws European and Latin American tourists.
