Stubborn belly fat
Return to DiscussionsHello, new nudist here. I became very interested in this lifestyle when I was 280 pounds in my first year of college. I've now dropped down to 170-180 and still have some belly fat that I would like to get rid of and tone. Any tips from fellow nudists? Is this a dietary issue or do I just need more specific excercises? Thanks for info

Since no one else has replied I'll give it a go. First, you look quite good in your photo, especially having lost so much weight. What did you do to loose the weight in the first place?
I lost 30 lbs and significant belly fat by watching my carbohydrates.
I"m not a nutritionists and some of my information may be incorrect. However, I counted carbohydrates instead of calories because that is what my nutritionist said to do.
I counted my carbs and only allowed myself about 200-220 carbs a day. For someone who likes wine and chips (Hi Oprah.) and all the other things that get me in trouble, it was tough. It took a particularly strict mindset. The first few days were the worst/hardest. After that I didn't crave the cookies and pretzels and chips like I did before. And I also didn't mind not having a glass of wine at dinner.
I lost about 2 lbs a week, but went from 172 to 142 in several months. Now I can say it was well worth it.
The challenge for me now is to be conscientious enough to keep it off.
Hope this helps. Contact me if you want to chat or discuss more.

Hey dropping that amount of weight is fantastic, well done. I dropped 20-25 pounds (9-10 kgs) and have some belly fat that won't leave either. I think it's a time and exercise thing, there are exercises to help tone us. I followed a low calorie intake approach, 2 days a week with < 600 calories, can eat and drink whatever every other day ...... yes beers and I'm quite fond of a beer or three.
Try varying your exercise, walking, running, cycling but in short intense periods. And don't over eat. Cheers and well done again.
