weather permitting. I have attempted it but there were too many
other hikers around. I've had lovely nude hikes in Snowdonia,
Wales; the Siers D Irta, Spain; clifftops in Portugal (where the group photo was taken); and
especially the Austrian Alps. There are lots of other places I
might add - anywhere quiet with stunning scenery.
Either legal or social, where would your dream nude hike take place? A national park, a city street, your home town? Thanks in advance for sharing your dream place to be naked and enjoy a walk/ hike / trek/ whatever.
My dream would be to take my walks around the neighborhood nude, and use the treadmill at the gym nude when weather doesn't allow outdoor nudity. I know it sounds boring but the thought of hiding my house key and then taking off for a walk or jog without dressing is so appealing.
Of course freehiking in any of our National Parks, Seashores, etc is outstanding (but they're just so far away!).
BTW, Noodengr2, I saw your retirement post on another forum but wasn't allowed to join that for some reason so: Congrats! and keep us posted on your new adventures, which I'm sure will include some naked ones. You must be really proud to have cultivated work friendships so that they honored you by dressing up like your 2nd favorite clothes. I guess it was too much to ask that they dress in your #1 favorite garb (but wouldn't that have been fun!!!).
Many places but I would especially love to hike Mount Washington in the White Mountains of New Hampshire nude. I have hiked it clothed several times. Also, the White Mountains has a system of overnight "huts" designed so hikers can hike with no camping or overnight bedding. For the price of a hotel you can schedule a stay, arrive to have a hot dinner, a blanket, outdoor composting toilet and a hearty breakfast then be on your way. You only have to carry your lunch. To do a long hike and stay at a couple of the hut and do it all nude would be ideal. I saw an article in National Geographic from the 1960s that showed the hut workers slit their shorts all the way so they had complete freedom of movement as they hike up and down multiple times carrying heavy packs. Nude would be so much better and more enjoyable!
I would definitely do it in town , walking everywhere naked , knowing I could . And being able to do it at the state park I go to . To be able to walk from the parking lot to the beach naked ,and be able to enjoy the beach naked without caring if someone saw me . That would be nice .

I agree with you about the White's, but shoe would be necessary. the rocks would cut your feet in a heartbeat. The high huts would be fun, co-ed sleeping is normal. Could you imagine riding the cog naked? Covered in soot, lol.
Actually there is no penalty for hiking naked in the countryside in Austria and in a few other European countries. It is like being one with nature, and liberating, when hiking naked through unspoilt countryside. I've done it in the Austrian Alps for the last few years with a group of 30 to 50 naked hikers. Modesty is required when hiking through villages and on well used roads but our routes avoided them.
