Nude Hikers

Any & all Nudists who have & shall enjoy a Nude hike, of any length, along any trail, well trod or self-blazen; whether amidst tall timbers in a rich forest, parallel to caressing waves along a sandy beach, circuitously passing ageless stones in a high desert or wherever the proximate terrain allows for spending several hours hiking Nude & feeling the Freedom of brushing against the Wonders of...

When hiking nude, my habit is to hike awhile, then ditch my cloths and other belongings and hike nude with no "emergency" cloths with me. I always stash my things off the trail to avoid them being found by other hikers. But on my last hike, when I returned, I couldn't find my stuff! I (thought) I knew where I'd hidden them, but I couldn't find them at all! My cloths, my car keys, my cell phone...everything...missing. I began contemplating having to walk out naked to seek help at the trailhead, potentially risky and embarrassing. Finally...finally...I found my things. Turns out I'd remembered wrong where I'd put them. Whew! Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Be careful with that. In La you can get arrested and charge as a registered sex offender.

I did that years ago. I would go to a familiar trail and if there weren't any other cars there i would take off my shorts, leave them beside the trail, and run for a mile or so and then return. One day on my way back I saw someone one the trail between me and my shorts. I hid off trail as he stopped and looked at my shorts for a second and moved on without seeing me or taking my shorts.

No

Every time I hike naked I always take my things with me. I totally understand why you do that but I always take my things and just put them in my backpack as you never know what you who you may run into and in case of any emergency you always have your things especially if you need to call for emergency services.

I don't do this often because in the places I like to hike, I need my pack and safety gear, most importantly, my Garmin InReach for an SOS should something happen. When I have hiked short distances, while in the wilderness, I GPS the location where I leave my stuff and carry my Garmin unless there is a really good landmark. I do have two places I am comfortable leaving everything behind except my shoes and a water bottle, and yes, that is the best way to hike. One place I will be seen, but it's 2200 acres of clothing-optional space, so that doesn't count.

glad you found your items!
i'm very interested in this - not having anything to cover up with if i come upon others during a hike. for those who have experience with this in the US--any suggestions? certain times of the day, days of the week, types of trails, like local, state or federal land? how long or what distance traveled are your hikes usually? feel free to reach out in a direct message or here in a reply.

when I go off grid hiking I carry a small shoulder bag with my keys , a snack , water and my shorts (tan) draped over the shoulder bag and although i've thought ditching my clothes at the start of the trailhead as a dare the thought of them gone along with my keys when I returned would be a disaster . I've been caught a few times hiking nude and some weren't always positive and the thought of now days with all the camera phones and again my now missing clothes at the trailhead yikes. if we lived in a clothing optional society sure in fact i'd leave everything in the car but my keys, water and a snack but sadly i'm doubting that will ever happen. and as someone else said even just being merely nude can get you arrested and become a sex offender - how stupid but our laws are screwy.

Unless you are in a designated nudist resort or beach, always carry something to cover up with. If a clothes-minded textile sees you and complains, it might trigger a local enforcement of any laws that may have been previousely un-enforced in the past. A complaint may jeopardize future access or freedom for others. I've seen this happen first-hand. I always wear a loincloth or an over-sized button-up shirt when free-hiking and on BLM or Forest land. I walk with loincloth panels folded up and/or open shirt and quickly deploy either if a textile approaches. If caught, make light of situation and tell them it's laundry day. LOL
Good luck and by all means get out there, it's glorious.

I agree unless at a nudist camp /resort or beach especially with everyone having a cellphone leaving clothes behind is a big risk . I wish the camera option on cellphones didn't exist as back in the day I was caught hiking nude a few times a few no big deal some maybe if they had a camera on they're phone maybe evidence against me. the thought of leaving my clothes is one thing but my keys too , can you image no clothes , phone, car and your nude 30 miles from home. I guess hitchhiking nude might work lol.
