Feeling a little down with the weather. Im used to being able to go naked hiking year-round. Hopefully, itll warm up a little bit and Ill be able to get back out on a trail. Anybody have any best nude hiking experiences? Heres mine:

I think mostly I really enjoy when I can get out on a trail when I know it doesnt have any people on it, its warm, and I can just feel the sun all over my body and I can forget that Im naked. True Bliss.

However, my best experiences, and there have been quite a few, happen when I bump into other people. for the record, I am not an exhibitionist and really dont like to expose myself to anyone that would be shocked, appalled or otherwise feel threatened. Generally speaking, I think hikers out on the trail are all pretty cool and easy-going so I have never had a bad experience. I tried to go to trails where I can see people coming. This gives me enough time to pull on some shorts or something. I did this once when I got to the top of a trail that I frequent and I could see someone standing at the top. Pulled on my shorts and when I made it up there, I found that it was a couple. A little bit older than me. They were super nice and had never been on this trail before. Asked me about the trail and what you could see and which way you could go, all the normal stuff that hikers talk about.

After a rest, I started going down. The woman said were going back too, do you mind if we walk with you. I said no I dont mind, but you should be aware that I hike naked. I think they were both pretty floored. Then I said, you are welcome to walk with me but if youre uncomfortable with that, give me just a couple minutes to get ahead and you can come down on your own. I told them Im a nudist, its not sexual no big deal whatever they wanted to do. The wife said well, I dont care and the husband followed up with we dont mind..

So I took my shorts back off, put them away in my backpack, and we headed off, together, back down the hill. Of course, naturism, nudism, why someone would hike naked, etc, etc. was basically the conversation for the next half hour. They wanted to know how often I did it? What happened when I bumped into other people? was it against the law? Where are other places to go? We talked about all that and I told them the only way to really understand would be to go hiking naked themselves. They agreed that maybe theyd give it a shot sometime, but werent quite prepared without having thought about it beforehand.

And then it happened - We spent the next hour walking down the hill, me naked with a textile couple, just talking about life and people and nature and everything else. Probably wouldve been a little more fun if they had gotten naked too. Maybe next time.

We got to the bottom of the hill and they said well now what do you do. Not much I said, and I walked down into the parking area - empty, except for our two cars. And, right next to a highway with cars passing every few seconds. I dont think anyone noticed, and I dont think anyone cared, so I made my way back to my car, got dressed, waved and said goodbye, and I off went.

At the very least, I think I gave them a fun story to relate with their friends. Hopefully, I left them with a positive view of nudism such that they give it a try.
