Wear sandals , not flip-flops at the beach , but they serve the same purpose . To save your feet from burning sand during the day .

Plus they protect my feet from the rough ground of the wide trail that leads from the parking lot to the beach , through the woods .
Have always hated feeling that thong between my Big toe and index toe on regular flip-flops . Even the ones I have at home , easy - on easy off , are just the type where you have the band of plastic over your foot , but nothing between the toes .

Nice having them while walking the beach , both when I'm wearing something , and when I'm walking naked , Donald - ducking . Makes for quicker walking along the hard sand at the edge of the water , where you're not getting wet , but where the waves have splashed up onto the shoreline , keeping the sand moist and more supportive of my walking body . Can always take them off when I need to get my ankles or lower legs wet , due to wave action .

Always great being naked at a beach .
