Return to DiscussionsI heard that the national seashore is now enforcing the nudity ban on the beach (not just the Meat Rack). I understood previously that they were not enforcing the ban on the beach between the Pines and Cherry Grove because the considered it a "community beach." Does anyone have information on this change? media coverage or official statements?
I suppose a warning is better than a ticket - you get your nude time in up until that point and perhaps once they leave if you are daring. I just wish we didn't have to deal with this at all. Ahhh - the good ol' days (i.e. just last summer!!!)
Just got home from a weekend in The Pines.I was sunbathing nude in the area between Cherry Grove and PinesSunday and Monday and didn't had any problems. Actually the police patroldrove by close to me numerous time and nothing happen. This weekend was fullof nude people. This was my third weekend going to the island andhaven't seen police ticketing nude people.
Any update on LHB or out near the east end Smithpoint? I preferred LHB, usually stayed away from Cherry grove or FIP as I am not gay or bi.

Anyone visit the Grove or the Pines this weekend? I hear many nudes on the beach in the Grove. I wonder how the tract of beach in front of the Meat Rack is doing. Any updates? Also, as far as Lighthouse Beach I was there yesterday. Everyone mostly clothed obeying the anti-nudity ordinance but late in the day saw a few guys bare it all as they strolled the beach swimsuit in hand.
