I feel that some photos are better in black and white which is why I removed all of the color from this one. Kind of reminds me of Viet Nam era combat photography.

I noticed especially by the toolshed photothat in the B&W rendering the modeling of form created by the lightis even more apparent than it would be in full color

Personally, I just like the way I look better in B&W! I like the retro, somewhat erotic tone of the pics much better than the starkness of a similar color pic.

Besides lending a classic/retro look the B&W both highlights and merges lines and details of the image in a different way. I enjoy how art can be used to help us see things in a different way. B&W photography is an effective tool for altering and expanding our vision and perception.

He means conversion from color photo to B&W. For Mac users, iPhoto can do it.
