What's up in ths group
Return to DiscussionsWith all that's happening in our country today I'd really think this group would be more active. As an old sailor I have never seen in my 67 years a greater political divide. It appears that no matter what our current COIC does positive for the country the nut jobs on the left continue their unsubstanchiated (never could spell that word) onslaught. Whenever POTUS acts on a promise that he campaigned on within twenty minutes you can rest assured that the nut jobs on the left, Schumer, Pelosi, you get the picture are all over it portraying it as a people killing earth shattering, global devastating event. All with no proof what so ever to back the diatribe up. For one I am sick and REALLY tired of their BS. Be sure not everything POTUS is doing is to my liking but I have to say over all its nice to have someone sitting in the oval office that is making a concerted effort to keep the promises that he made while campaigning.
I remember watching a news program a couple of years ago, between then Mr. Obama and his republican opponent Sen. McCain. When asked by Sen. McCain about living up to his promises to the American people during the campaign, Obama looked in McCain's eyes and informed the Senator that, that was the campaign and this is now.
Knowing that neither party will ever openly endorse naturist/nudist rights I still am more supportive of the man that is in office now than his predecessor.

well probably a lot more liberals are nudists than conservatives.
I've met numerous conservative nudists. I think the only way to move the country forward is to have a robust dialogue, sharing and listening to everyone's point of view. My biggest problem is that when I hear the liberals, or better known as the party of inclusion all I hear is hate and division. I served my country for twenty years, and have seen how many people around the world live and I feel so grateful that I live in a country that still for the most part is one that cherishes the Constitution and the rights guaranteed under said document. Thank you for the response and Ihope that there will be more discussion here. Pete
I doubt there will be much conversation in this group because I think most of the nudists on this site that are actually nudists are liberals. The name of the group will probably keep most TN members away but oh well that will just show what I say is true. MAGA
It astounds me, as a nudist I am liberal with my nude friends but most know that I am a strict constitutional conservative and are ok with that. We just agree to disagree. I'm puzzled though with all that is happening in our beloved country today that I don't hear from more of the Repubs. We always hear the libs. screaming about how we are only for the snob class and as I see it that is the furthest from the truth as anyone can get. I also feel that the true conservative should be screaming from the rafters about the lies deceit and down right criminal actions that have taken place in our country in the last eight years of the Dem. controlled administration. I also think that the justice Dept. will end up doing nothing to correct the truly illegal goings on of the Clinton Cartel. Then again that's just my thoughts.
I hear you. Frankly, I come here to TN to discuss nudist topics along with a very few peripheral issues. The few discussions in the chat room about politics haven't given much encouragement as far as reasoned sincere discussion or debate goes. You have heard the old saying, "Never argue with an idiot; they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." That seems to be the norm in the chat room.
I agree with you about the monumental divide in our country being an impediment to progress and neither side has a monopoly on base rhetoric. I am sorry to say that I see very little hope for ever reconciling the two points of view or, for that matter, preserving our imperfect union in the long term.
