Usually, traveling naturists are there visiting in the world's warmer climates during Northern Hemisphere winter.

Suntanning naturists sometimes go outside to tan in this weather in the north, but in the colder climates they do not do it for a long time each time they tan.

Not all naturist go traveling.

Two main groups spend time outside in the colder climates, though there are plenty in some of the warmer climates.

One is the polar bares "polar bears" group, that either goes in saunas and swims outside or otherwise suntans in the snow or cold for short moments. Many naturists are not members of this category, but there are plenty of polar bares in existence relative to the mere 150 persons a person on average has in their personal close friends social network at any given time.

Note: Never expose directly to extreme cold unless in a timely and regulated manner. Always consult a physician before doing stressful activities, such as exposing yourself to the extreme cold, or before using saunas or other heating devices after being exposed to cold. Never do anything stressful exercise without regular consultation of your personal trainer or general physician. Never do anything illegal.

Another group is the "Snowbirds" traveling from the coldest climates to warmer climates in their nation. Some of these go to the colder climates that do not have snow, but most "Snowbirds" go to the Warmest Climates. They then go to wherever they can near their travel destination to the naturist locations. Some "Snowbirds" winter in cold climates in which there is not snow, so it is not as far away. Others just go to the warm or Hot places in winter where naturism is practiced.

Naturists vary. Many are Polar Bares, many are "Snowbirds."

Most of the Naturists that are "Snowbirds" are the type that does go to the naturist spots in Hot or Warmer climates.
