Who was on the wrestling team in school?
Return to DiscussionsI was on the wrestling team in high school from freshman year to graduation. I could fill this page with just half of the awesome stories from those years. This is for you guys who wrestled ether in high school or university. I would like to hear any memories you have of those days. As for me I remember that no one ever wore anything under their singlet during practice. Now for competition at least half would whear a jock, the others wore nothing. I preferred nothing because it felt better. Also my freshman year when I was new to the team the coach made all first years strip to just a jock for practice. He told us this was to get us used to grabbing guys in places you never go, and also to being grabbed. I will have to tell you how it felt to have a guy put his hand up my butt crack for leverage the first time. Then we had showers and weigh in. So, let me know how your experience was on a wrestling team.
Wrestled in Jr high - we moved and the high school in our new city didn't offer wrestling. A lot of stories - tourneys were great fun. We usually wore nothing under our singlets except for competition - then jocks. I still remember getting my first jock. After a bit i moved to the swimmer style and mom wound up buying a few more because many times there were more jocks in my laundry than underwear.
I switched from wrestling to swimming (which I also did in jr hi.) I'd be lying if i said i didnt miss (some of) those days!
Was on varsity wrestling in hs. We wore jocks initially but it became a game to snap the leg straps when a guy bent over to pull his singlet up. To avoid this a lot of guys quit wearing jocks. Of course, when they'd get a hardon it was pretty obvious and we'd razz them about it. Especially if that hardon ended up in your face during a practice match. Happened more than once!
